About
Built for the individual racer
DevoSendr is personalized, gamified training for youth mountain bike racers in grades 7 to 12 and their parents. No coach login. No team roster. No social feed. Just you, your plan, and your race calendar.
What we build
Youth MTB racing is one of the fastest-growing high school sports in the country. But most training apps are built for adult endurance athletes, generic fitness, or team sports with a coach at the center. None of that fits a 9th grader with a race in three weeks, a parent trying to help, and a bike that needs a tune.
DevoSendr builds a weekly training plan around your race category (Freshman, JV, or Varsity), your zone-based fitness targets, and where you are in the season. Your plan adapts as the season moves from base building through the race series into championship week. You earn XP, unlock achievements, and get a race-day Pre-Flight checklist tailored to your next venue.
The four pillars
Every training week is organized across four pillars. A balanced week hits all four: you get faster, you get more technical, you know your bike, and you show up at the race line with your community behind you.
Fitness
Zone-based endurance rides, strength work, and race-specific intervals calibrated to your track and season phase.
Skills
Technical mountain bike skills: cornering, braking, drops, switchbacks, and reading terrain at speed.
Mechanical
Bike maintenance, trail etiquette, and the gear knowledge that keeps you on the trail instead of in the parking lot.
Community
Race participation, local group rides, and being a good steward of the trails you race on.
Built safe for athletes under 18
DevoSendr was designed from the first commit around youth safety. There are no social features: no feeds, no follows, no direct messages, no leaderboards. No coach or other adult can contact an athlete through the app. All emails are automated and transactional.
Parents have a dedicated oversight role with consent controls. The minimum age at launch is 13. Under-13 support requires a full parental consent flow (COPPA) before any data is collected. Athletes with a data-restricted flag have all third-party sharing hard-locked off.
Season structure
The training calendar is built around the high school league season, which runs four phases:
- 1. Base and Heat Build — Build your aerobic engine and heat tolerance before the first race.
- 2. Race Series — Race weekends every other week. Training sharpens and recovery deepens.
- 3. Bridge — Between the regular season and championship. Skills work and leg sharpening.
- 4. Championship Peak — Race-week taper and Pre-Flight prep for your best performance of the year.
